What is an EMBODIMENT Practice?

An embodiment practice is a method of using the unique sensations of your body as a tool to develop awareness, stay present, self-regulate, feel whole, find balance, feel connected, know yourself, love yourself and be empowered.

Embodiment explores the relationship between our physical being and our energy. It involves the interaction of our body, thoughts, and actions.

In the framework that we discuss, embodiment is a practice. It is taking a feeling like desire or grief; an esoteric concept like presence or radiance;  natural objects like mountains or sea kelp; or archetypes like King and Goddess, and making them real in your physical body. To create the energy of any of the above mentioned in your body using breath, sound, a certain posture, or movement so that it feels more real in you and so that you can transmit that energy out to the world around you.

If you want people to feel and to be attracted to the Goddess/King in you, you must give off Goddess/King energy.

Simple example: If you say that you are wanting to open up more and connect with more people, and you go to a party, and you sit in a corner, your shoulders hunched, your arms crossed,and your hair covering half your face, you are not going to feel inviting for other people who may want to join you. You are not embodying someone that is open and wanting to connect.

Whatever it is that you want more of in your life you can practice the embodiment of that thing and watch how the world begins to offer it to you. It really feels like magic, but it works; it is yoga.

You will come up against many of your old negative beliefs, the fear of that part of you being rejected, not worthy of embodying it, that is where the practice and support comes in. Be a Yes to all of the uncomfortable feelings and teach your body to move through them.

The more you practice, the more powerful it will become in your body;

The more powerful it is in your body the more powerful the transmission;

The more powerful the transmission, the more people will feel you;

The more that other people feel you and relay that energy back to you, the more solidified this will be as your identity.

Thoughts are the language of the mind, feelings are the language of the body.
